The Vendor is required to provide legal advice and counsel service on a variety of matters pertaining to all aspects of regional, county, and local government.
- Counsel and legal services in general local government law and for charter revision for appointment on or around March 1, 2025
- Provide legal advice and support to the assembly of delegates and assembly staff in the areas relating to, but not limited to:
• General local government law (county and municipal), established under state general law (including the regional government special act home rule charter) and case law;
• Interpretation of federal, state, regional, and local statutes, ordinances, by-laws, and regulations,
• Open meeting, public record, executive session, and conflicts of interest law;
• Drafting and monitoring special legislation and ordinances;
• Elections law and procedures;
• Representation of the assembly in all necessary legal proceedings;
• Effective collaboration with county counsel
